Choose your backbore design, throat size, and available finish to tailor your modular Pickett Brass trumpet mouthpiece to your playing needs. The backbore works together with the cup and throat to influence response, airflow, resistance, and tonal character.

Available Backbores:

• #10-1: A very free-blowing symphonic backbore, commonly paired with #24 or #25 throats for an expansive orchestral feel.
• #10-2: Our popular classical backbore, balancing a broad sound with a familiar, efficient response for orchestral, chamber, and solo playing.
• #10-3: Slightly more resistance than the #10-2, with quicker-speaking attacks and greater articulation definition for chamber groups, jazz combos, and soloists.
