The Pickett Small Bore Lightweight 1-Piece mouthpiece combines an integrated rim and cup with a lighter blank that feels easier to move and responds more brightly than our secure, solid-feeling standard-weight design. Choose your rim diameter, contour, and cup depth to suit your playing.

Choose your size

  • 5: Our largest small-bore diameter, offering a broad core and balance across registers.
  • 5.5: A slightly smaller diameter than the 5 for players who prefer a little more support.
  • 6: A focused option with a dense core.
  • 6.5: An intermediate diameter between the 6 and 7.
  • 7: A balanced, compact choice for general small-bore tenor playing.
  • 9: A compact option with an immediate response, also suited to alto trombone.
  • 11: Our smallest diameter in this range, for players who prefer a compact feel for lead playing.

Cup depths

  • D — Deep: Our deepest stock cup, with a free-blowing feel and a warm, rich low-register sound.
  • M — Medium: Our most popular cup depth, balancing response and tone across a broad range of playing styles.
  • S — Shallow: Added support in the middle and upper registers, with brilliance and efficiency.

Rim contours

  • C — Standard: Our classic, relatively flat rim with a pronounced inner bite for clear articulation.
  • R — Round: A rounded profile and softer bite, offering a slightly wider feel and more relief entering the cup.
