Pickett Brass Large Bore Trombone 1-Piece Mouthpiece

Choose the secure, solid feel of our standard-weight blank in a complete one-piece mouthpiece for large-bore tenor trombone. The integrated rim and underpart offer a straightforward setup, with six diameters, two rim profiles, and three cup depths to shape your preferred combination of comfort and response.

Start with your diameter, choose the C or R rim profile, then select a D, M, or S cup. For a lighter feel that is easier to move and responds more brightly, consider our Lightweight 1-Piece model.

Choose Your Size — Inner Diameter:

  • 3: 1.044" / 26.52 mm. The largest diameter in this range, for players seeking an open feel and a dark tonal character.
  • 4: 1.034" / 26.26 mm. An open feel suited to players seeking breadth, including orchestral second-trombone work.
  • 5: 1.024" / 26.01 mm. A balanced option with a centered core across registers.
  • 5.5: 1.019" / 25.88 mm. Slightly smaller than the 5 for players seeking added support.
  • 6: 1.014" / 25.76 mm. A more compact option for players seeking focus and a dense core.
  • 6.5: 1.004" / 25.50 mm. The smallest diameter in this range.

Choose Your Rim Profile:

  • C — Standard: Our classic, relatively flat profile with a pronounced bite, designed for a defined feel and crisp articulation.
  • R — Round: A rounded profile with a softer bite and more relief into the cup, offering a slightly wider feel and freedom for flexibility.

Choose Your Cup Depth:

  • D — Deep: Our deepest stock option, designed for a free-blowing feel and a warm, rich low-register sound.
  • M — Medium: A versatile middle-depth option for a balance of sound, response, and efficiency across musical settings.
  • S — Shallow: A more supportive feel in the middle and upper registers, with added brilliance and efficiency.
