Sometimes you have the perfect mouthpiece already and your playing is doing quite well. So there is no reason to search for a new or different mouthpiece. BUT you may lose or damage that perfect mouthpiece and then you would get back to a mouthpiece safari.
Pickett Brass offers mouthpiece replications as a service. We scan and measure your entire mouthpiece including the rim, cup, throat, backbore, and exterior profile. From our measurements we can embark with you on a design that bridges from your perfect mouthpiece for another playing situation, or work with you to recreate the original for a backup.
Replication costs depend on the model, instrument, and various details of the mouthpiece.
